Item Title
C-21 Pay mileage at .50 cents/mile to have parents or group homes transport certain ESE students for student school year 2010-2011.

Issue/Rationale

In certain cases the ESE Department in conjunction with the Transportation Department must authorize mileage for parents or group homes to transport students.

Examples of such cases include no available bus, medical issues which can not be resolved, significant behavior difficulties, or other special issues. We are required to provide transportation, and thus provide mileage reimbursement.

Recommended Action
Approve paying mileage.

Financial Impact
The total cost of transportation is expected to be less than $10,000.00.
